New Beginnings at School

August 26, 2020

We look forward to welcoming back our pupils, old and new, this week.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We look forward to welcoming all our pupils, parents and staff to school this week and a special welcome to our new Junior Infant pupils.  The past few months have been challenging and difficult for us all, but we are so proud of how our pupils, families and staff dealt with and rose to the challenge.

School will look slightly different when our children return but all these measures are in line with HSE and Department of Education advice and are in place to keep our school as safe as possible for our pupils and staff.  It is so important for all of us that we adhere to these measures so our children and staff can work and learn in a safe environment.

Your patience is requested in these difficult times.  As you are aware, guidance is ever changing so please be prepared for this.  Updates will be provided to families via our school website, text message and email so please ensure the office has correct contact details for you.

In these times, parents/guardians are not permitted on school grounds so if you wish to speak to a staff member regarding any matter, please make an appointment by emailing the office at, scoileoinbaiste@gmail.com or by phoning the office on 042 9331575.

If you do attend a physical meeting in school, you must adhere to strict social distancing guidance, coughing and sneezing etiquette, wear a face covering throughout the time you are in the school and sanitise upon entering and exiting the school.  Contact details will be logged at the reception for all visitors to the school.

Please be fully aware of the symptoms of Covid-19 and do not come to the school if you, or anyone in your house, has been tested for Covid-19 or is displaying symptoms.

Your continued support during these times is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Roisin Hughes & Staff
