We believe that education is a work of partnership between parents and the school and we believe good communication is what makes this partnership work well. There are many ways in which parents can get involved with their children’s education and help out at Scoil Eoin Baiste. Our home/school liason is Carol-Anne and she can be contacted at 087 7921493.
Some of the projects we have organised this year are;
The Paired Reading Project.
Paired Reading Programme began this term and ran for three weeks before and after the Easter break in our newly refurbished library. Paired reading is a reading activity where the child and adult read together. It encourages a child to read and gives them confidence to do so.
Parents also helped to stock and prepare the new school library. It is now open to parents and children of Junior and Senior Infant children every Thursday afternoon at ten to two. Come along, call in and change their library book.
Other classes/courses include:
– Incredible Years Parenting Class
