Parents of Junior Infants

Welcome to Junior Infants!

We hope your child will be happy in our school. We aim to offer an engaging, active and interesting curriculum for our pupils.

We want our pupils to feel part of the school community and to have fun in their learning.

Our Junior Infants begin school at 9.05am and finish at 2.50pm.

In Junior Infants, pupils will be introduced to many different programmes and ways of learning, including the Jolly Phonics Programme, Ready, set, Go Maths Programme and the Incredible Years Classroom Dina Programme.

Jolly phonics is an active approach to learning literacy skills, letter sounds and high frequency words. For more information see our Jolly Phonics page.

The Classroom Dina Programme aims to develop their social skills and teaches them how to describe and talk about their emotions as well as providing them with strategies for coping in potentially stressful or upsetting situations. More information can be found on our Incredible Years page.
