Hi everyone
We have had a busy week and the kids have been working hard. This is a brief overview of topics we have covered this week. Taking time to show an interest or doing some extra work with the kids at home makes a massive difference to their learning journey.
Math
The children have completed number lines, using the clues to establish what the next number in the series is or what the gap between the numbers should be. They also started rounding up and down in the tens and hundreds.
They are also working on either their 2 or 3 times tables.
English
The kids have been working hard on both their spellings and reading. They all have access to library books in the classroom and have their level readers to read at home each evening.
Irish
The children have learned how to describe themselves in greater detail. They shared with the class how many people are in their household and are learning a new song, Dilín Ó Deamhas
SESE
The kids have created their own family trees and are researching their local area, including businesses, landmarks and natural features.
