19th - 23rd January 2026

26th Jan 2026
This week we were preparing for the Seinn concert. We sang many songs including 'Lord of the Dance,' 'Up & Up,' as well as 'Take me to the River.' The children loved the songs and they performed beautifully on the day. This was a lovely experience for both 5th & 6th class to take part in together.

We have been reviewing money in Math this week. We have been using strategies to find which items can give us better value for our money.

For oral language in English, we have began to work on our own project pieces based on an interest we would like to present to the class. We will be working on using eye contact, loud and clear voices, expression, confidence and a great knowledge of our topic when presenting these. The children must be prepared for questions and try to think about their body language and hand/ face gestures as they prepare.

in Art, we have been making 'POP Art' pieces. This topic is inspired by the artist 'Andy Warhol.' He uses a range of bright colours to present the same picture in different ways. The children had great fun working on these this week.

A reminder that our 'Meet the Teacher' event will take place Tuesday 27th January and you are all more than welcome to attend.
