1st week of October
2nd Oct 2025
Hi everyone... The days are going quickly and we are into October already. I have attached a picture of the code to allow access to our new Math program. Please take time to try it out and if you have any questions just email.
Math
We are adding and subtracting in 10s and 100s. We have tried 4 different methods. Using columns, partitions and number lines. We have also used concrete materials. For the pupil app it is UNIT 3.
Irish
We are now on to our new topic of An Scoil. They kids are learning all items in the classroom and the verbs to be able to say what they took, saw, done along with the negatives.
English
The children again have worked on their reading. Vocabulary and grammar. Learning word relationships and the right stems to questions. Please encourage reading at home as much as possible. We read an passage from The Twits and the children created their own gross recipes 😂
Art
We are completing pumpkin patch drawings. Focusing on foreground, middle and background to add depth to our picture.
SESE
We studied the Stone Age, learning about hunter gatherer lives. We also had a fun class quiz and created our own cave wall drawings.
