Scoil Náisiúnta Eoin Baiste, Dundalk, Co. Louth

20th-24th April

25th Apr 2026

The weather has been beautiful at school this week. We decided to make the most of it and bring some of our lessons outside. We read outside, played rounders and completed an SESE lesson outdoors.

In Math, we revised 2D shapes, polygons, quadrilaterals, types of lines and used mirrors to show lines of symmetry.

In oral language, we worked on giving specific instructions whereby the children had to carefully explain the position and direction of objects when instructing others.

In Music, we have been learning some songs from Africa (The Congo) and the children joined in an African counting game.

This week of course was also our school trip. The children were very excited to take the bus with their friends and try out the new GR8 in Dundalk. The children enjoyed bowling, darts, pool and golf. They had great fun throughout the day and when we got back to school, the children played rounders in Fatima Park as well as basketball, tennis and football. They had a great day all round!
