Congratulations to Lily for getting Star of the Week this week!
Below is some of the work we completed this week:
English – This week, we focused on punctuation and explored the difference between direct speech and reported speech.
Gaeilge – We completed the topic Ag Siopadóireacht. The children really enjoyed havingconversations and using the new vocabulary they had learned.
Maths – Our focus this week was weight. The children had great fun estimating and comparing the weights of different items around the classroom.
SPHE – We explored feelings and emotions, with lots of thoughtful discussion and activities.
Science – We continued our exciting topic on space, learning more about the planets and the solar system.
Drama – The focus this week was on developing social skills through a range of drama activities and group work.
Music – The children began learning the song ‘Here Comes the Sun’. We also focused on musical scales during our lessons this week.
