2nd - 6th March

13th Mar 2026
This week the weather was a bit better outside, so we tried to make the most of it! We enjoyed games of basketball outside and football too.

This week we prepared for World book Day. We chose books from the school library which we read to the Junior Infants. We enjoyed reading to them and dressing up on the day. We also had Ms. McHugh come to read a story to our class which we loved!

In Religion, we began to learn Ár nAthair (Our Father) as Gaeilge, in preparation for Seachtain na Gaeilge.

We have also been learning our National Anthem -Amhrán na bhFiann" (The Soldier's Song) as Gaeilge, in addition to our topic of Caitheamh Aimsire. We played lots of games such as Roll agus Abair too.

We continue to work on fractions in Math.
In English, we have been writing news reports about a really inspirational young girl called Malala Yousafzai. She is a modern day heroine.
