This week we have been learning about Debates. We learned what a debate was and listened to examples on how to debate a given topic. We then chose a motion that our class would like to debate. We chose the motion: 'This house believes that students should choose their own seats in class.' The children were then split into teams of 'For/Agree,' or 'Against/ disagree.' They spent time planning arguments for their teams and using persuasive phrases throughout. Let's see if they can convince Ms Smith that they should choose their own seats in class.
In Math we have been working on the topic of Measure. We have been working on converting Length, Weight and Capacity units as well as revising Area, Perimeter and Time.
In Art, we finished painting our clay animals.
In Religion, we began learning about the Baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist in the River Jordan.
