9th-13th February 2026

12th Feb 2026

We have been so busy this week in 5th class using book creator to present our projects in English. We spent a long time researching, typing up and editing our information. Then we had the difficult task of presenting this information to the class. We received feedback related to our eye contact, tone/intonation, knowledge of our topic and use of body language/ gestures.

I was so impressed with the children presenting their hard work this week. They should be so proud of themselves! Their projects were amazing and they presented them with confidence. The children also made a special effort to use hand gestures and memorise their information in order to use good eye contact with their audience when speaking. The children also were able to answer questions confidently on their chosen topics too.

In Math, we have been finding the whole number when given a fraction. We have also been working to find a fraction of a number. As well as this, we are continuing with our mental math daily 10 each day.

In Gaeilge, we have been learning all about 'An Aimsir' (The Weather) We played Roll agus Abair (Roll and Say) and the children had great fun playing this.

Well done to Cian for winning the KiVa kindness & anti-bullying poster competition.
Also a special well done to both Ivan and Zaheera who took part in the Dundalk Credit Union Quiz on Tuesday this week in the Fairways Hotel.

Reminder: Please return any remaining signed permission slips regarding the TY musical and €4 payment for this.

Have a great & well deserved Mid Term Break!
