A busy bee week
We had another busy week in senior infants. Here is some of the work we have been doing
➕6️Maths
We have looked at the different ways that we can break up the number 6 to complete sums of 6. We have also been revising our numbers and their formation from junior infants, and practicing what numbers come before and after each number, up to 10.
💚Irish
We have been looking at 'An Scoil'. The cildren have been learning to say who is at the door?
'Cé atá ag an doras?'
'Tá ______ ag an doras' 😃 (____ is at the door)
📖English
This week the children have been looking for the last sound that they can hear in a word. We have also been practicing how we can blend our sounds together to form a word.
🌍SESE
Senior infants looked at some toys from the past and compared them to the toys they play with today. We had some children bring in more signs of Autumn to add to our class nature table. We looked at the leaves and acorns that grow on an oak tree, exploring how the leaves look different in each Season 🍁🍂
For science, we looked at the anatomy and texture of the leaves by creating leaf rubbings.🖍️
We had more children get their ten ticks and get their prize from the treasure box, well done!!💎
🏆We will be awarding our senior infants class trophy to the table of the week on Friday.
Keep up all the hard work 😁
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
