Here are some of the activities we got up to this week in 6th class,
🌎 SESE: We explored Myths & Legends from other countries, we read the story "The Epic of Sunjata" and created comic strips based on the story.
🍂 An Fómhar was our topic in Gaeilge this week, we learned words and phrases associated with Autumn.
🌳 We presented our projects on Native, Wild Irish Animals - some fantastic work by the class!
🎲 We had our first visit to Curam Care Nursing Home this week. We will be visiting weekly for the next while, reading & playing games with the residents. It was a wonderful experience for our pupils & the residents.
📝 Our English this week has focused on completing our stories for our Class Book. Details on how to preorder our book have been sent home to all parents.
🇮🇪 We have spent lots of time learning the counties of Ireland this week. We had some fun group work to try and place the counties in their correct location on a map of Ireland.
🌈 We took part in a fantastic webinar with Fiona Forman titled "Mind Your Mind" as part of World Mental Health Day. The children had some wonderful contributions and learned lots of suggestions for minding our Mental Health.
