A Busy Week in 6th class

Another busy week in our classroom, here is some of the work we have been exploring,
๐งฎ Maths: We worked on lots of problem solving and group work this week in Maths, focusing on addition and subtraction up to 999,999. We focused on lots of Maths Talk & developing the skills to explain and justify our answers to Maths problems.
๐ฎ๐ช Gaeilge: We continued with Mé Féin, the class are really improving their comhrá skills!
๐ English: This week, we begin our second draft of our stories for our class book, developing skimming and scanning and proofreading skills.
๐ SESE: We explored the topic of communities we belong to and the concepts of inclusion and diversity. We played lots of games and had many discussions about the importance of diversity and inclusion.
๐จ Art: Inspired by our work on History, we created clay sculptures of castles.
๐ PE: We have been working on sending, receiving and travelling skills in PE through basketball.
โญ SPHE: This week we began our Stay Safe lessons, focusing on feelings.
