Autumn
Here is a list of what senior infants have been looking at this week in school
Maths
This week, we explored partitioning the number 5, discovering different ways to break it down. The children loved playing games to practice what comes after each number up to 10, building confidence in their counting skills!
Irish
We looked into the theme of Mé Féin (myself) and learned fun commands like bí ag rith (run), bí ag léim (jump), bí ag siúl (walk), and bí ag sugradh(play). The children enjoyed practicing these commands!
English Senior infants have been revisiting some of the sounds they learned from Junior Infants, focusing on proper letter formation. The children are working hard to perfect their writing skills
SESE Autumn is here, and we’ve been spotting its signs! We started building a nature table, collecting orange and red leaves, acorns, pinecones and more. If your child finds any signs of autumn at home, please encourage them to bring them in to add to our collection!
Well done to the blue table who have won our senior infants class trophy for the second week in a row! We also had lots more children win their ten ticks for working hard, earning them a prize fom the treasure box!
