➕6️Maths
This week we partitioned numbers up to 10. We have also been looking at the number names - matching the number to the written word. We have also been creating sums using the plus and equals signs.
💚Irish
We have continued to look at 'An Scoil'. The children have been learning to talk about school as Gaeilge.
They have been following the Irish instructions to take out their books, copies, lunch boxes and pencils. They have been answering their roll call as Gaeilge and telling teacher who is absent, all through Irish 😁
📖English
This week the children have been looking at the middle sound that they can hear in a word. We have also been practicing how we can blend our sounds together to form a word.
🌍SESE
Senior infants have been looking at the difference between day and night, looking at the the different things we see, wear and do during night and day.
For art, we made sleeping hedgehogs covered in Autumn leaves and in PE, we have been learning to throw at targets using both the under arm and over arm throwing technique.
During we religion, we have been looking at our families, talking about the things we enjoy doing with our families.
We had more children get their ten ticks and get their prize from the treasure box, well done!!💎
🏆Well done Green table who won the class trophy this week, we will have a new winner tomorrow.
