Save our Homeless Christmas Food Appeal Our annual Christmas Food Appeal for Save our Homeless has begun. All donations of non-perishable food is greatly appreciated! Final date for donations is the 12th December.
A very busy week in 6th class with lots of preparations underway for our Christmas performances next week. The pupils are really looking forward to performing for everyone!
Maths: Lines and Angles and revision of multiplication and division were our focus this week. We focused on finding the missing angles in triangles and quadrilaterals.
English: This week we looked at examples of advertisements, we explored the key elements of ads, the language used and what makes an effective advertisement. We explored different jingles in ads and how they influence people. Pupils worked in groups to create their own advertisements for toys. We used digital recordings, posters and slides to create our ads.
Art: This week we made Christmas tree decorations using paint and wooden shapes.
We also explored Christmas traditions around the world and created a report comparing traditions in Ireland and another country.
