February Week 4 and March Week 1
11th Mar 2026
The children in 4th Class A had a movie day on the 27th as a reward for fantastic behaviour over a number of weeks. Keep up the good work!
We celebrated World Book Day on the 5th of March. The children's costumes were fantastic! They really enjoyed the day's activities, including buddy reading with 1st and 2nd class, guessing which teachers were the mystery readers, and taking part in the quiz with some of the other classes.
Here are some of the topics we covered over the two weeks:
Gaeilge : We started the topic Eadaí. The children enjoyed talking about their uniforms and learning the Irish words for different items of clothing.
English: We have been doing a lot of work of our class novel. We focused on report writing over the two weeks. The children created excellent reports about the Black Widow Spider.
Maths: We worked on 2D and 3D shapes. The children enjoyed identifying different shapes in the classroom and around the school.
