Welcome back senior infants, our core work for this week was
Maths
This week we began looking at the teen numbers. We learned to count forwards and backwards to 20. We have also been using twn frames to make the teen numbers.
💚Irish
We have started looking at 'An AImsir'. We can now describe the weather each day. Seniot infants can say 'Tá an lá fuair, Tá an lá te, Tá an lá fluich, Tá an lá scamalach agus Tá an lá gaofar.'
📖English
The children have been practicing their spelling. They have been spelling short 3 letter words, covering these words and then seeing if they can spell them from memory. We have been sharing and writing our news - our emphasis has been writing on the line and using our finger space. We have also been practicing all of our tricky words we have learned tp date through a game of Bingo!
SESE
We have been discussing all of the signs of Winter - the children have been encouraged to take in any signs of Winter they might spot - eg. holly
