Happy New Year!

A busy return to school for 6th class, have a look at the topics we have been covering this week,

🇮🇪 Gaeilge: Our new topic is Bia (Food), we have been working on verbs and forming sentences. We have explored vocabulary associated with food, read stories and created menus in Irish.

📚 English: This week we worked on comprehension skills in our story, The Hunger Games.
We also started our new class novel, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. The class are really enjoying this novel and we have done some writing activities based on our reading.

🪖 History: Our topic in History is World War 2 which integrates really well with our class novel.
Lots of project work to look forward to next week.

🎵 Music: We attended the rehearsal for the Seinn ceremony this week, the class have been practising very hard to learn the wonderful music for the ceremony. We're really looking forward to attending next week.

⭐ SPHE: We have continued with the Stay Safe programme and moved on to the topic of touches. The link below provides information for parents on the content of these very important topics,

🌍 Geography: We explored the topic of Climates around the world this week, comparing and contrasting different climates and where in the world we would find these climates.
