We have continued with our 'Marvellous Me' theme in Junior Infants this week. Take a look below to see what we have been doing.
English
The children listened to the story of the 'Colour Monster' . We discussed the importance of naming our emotions and how this could be helped using different colours. We also learned the nursery rhyme 'Humpty Dumpty' and the children engaged in lots of role play, games and sensory activities with this.
Maths
We continued learning lots of number songs and we also explored what makes a set.
Irish
We have been learning new colours this week as well as well as songs and rhymes about our bodies.
SESE
The children have been learning about the 5 senses and taken part in fun activities where they had to guess a mystery object using different senses. They have really enjoyed looking at their baby photographs and we have dicussed how they have changed since then. We have talked about how to take care of babies and they have been doing a great job of this in our Home Corner.
