Here are some of the things Junior Infants have been doing this week.
English The children have been learning the 'i' sound this week as well as recapping on previous sounds. They have been singing songs with actions, using playdough and practiced writing the sounds on their whiteboards. Please continue to practice the sounds in their button folders at home each day.
Maths The children have been doing lots of practical counting activities this week. They have used numberlines, played games to find the missing number and have been working hard on writing the numbers 1-5 correctly.
Irish We continued with our topic of Bia this week. The children learned how to say
'I like' - Is maith liom
'I don't like'- Ní maith liom
'I ate'- D'ith mé
'I drank' - 'D'ól mé
The children have been excited to practice for our school Nativity this week. They have now all been given their parts as well as costume suggestions and lines to practice.
