May Week 1
7th May 2026
Congratulations to Kajus for getting Star of the Week last week!
Below are some of the topics we covered this week:
English - We continued working on procedural writing this week. We did a lot of work on synonyms and antonyms.
Gaeilge - We continued working on the topic ag siopadóireacht this week. The children loved playing the game 'I went to the shop and I bought ...'
Maths - We started the topic long multiplication. The children have been fantastic at following the different steps to get the answers.
Geography - The children continued their research on counties in Ireland for their homework this week.
Music - We worked on song singing this week. The children loved the karoke songs in the lesson.
Religion - We focused on how the church is one family of God. We had discussions about how all Christians are united.
Drama - The focus was on bringing stories to life. Each group worked together to create their own scene.
Art - The children created some beautiful 'looking through the keyhole' art this week.
