Below is a list of what we covered this week, along with some homework activities to support your child's learning. Click on the links to view the sites.
Maths
Both classes have now have finished learning about greater than, less than and equal (>,<,=). We are now working on doubles, near doubles and inverses (for example, 8+4=12, so 12-8=4 etc)
- Daily 10: Linked here, we do this every morning in our class as a maths warm up. We usually select Level 2 - Addition - 20 seconds, but feel free to explore the many other options available.

Literacy
This week we have been reading our new library books & extending stories and sentences. Both 1st and 2nd Class have been working on grammar related to capital letters and full stops. 2nd class have gone into a little more detail, including people and place names. We have also begun exploring report writing.

This week we started the theme of An Scoil (School). We are working on vocabulary related to the classroom at the moment.
Art Competition
We have entered a county-wide art competition for 1st, 2nd and 3rd classes related to climate action. Best of luck to all pupils on their entries!
