This week we have been working very hard in Fifth class.
English We have been working on a story called 'The New School.' The children predicted what would happen in the story using the pictures and title. The main character was called 'August' from the story book Wonder. We discussed how August's facial differences made it difficult for him starting a new school.
Math We have been revising over place value, times tables, rounding numbers and shapes this week. The children are enjoying taking part in the daily 10 each day to help their mental math skills.
Art The children enjoyed learning how animations are made in movies. They learned how to make a thaumatrope toy and they each made their own design for this.
