Maths 🧮
In Maths, Senior Infants explored adding numbers up to 20 using mental strategies, rekenreks, ten frames and number paths. They looked at data by creating a graph showing the class's favourite zoo animals. We also learned to add the number zero.
📖English
In English, we focused on the “soft c'' sound, identifying it in different words and practising how it sounds. We practiced writing capital letters 'D' 'A' and 'G'. We also read a story about whales. Some of u were brave enough to read a page in front of the class.
SESE🐳
We looked at animals that we can find in the ocean.
We also planted sunflowers in the classroom. We are in the middle of conducting an experiment to see what seeds grow the best. Some of them have water, some have sunlight, some have soil, some have them all - we want to see what a seed needs to grow into a healthy plant.
Irish 💚
In Irish, we are learning how to use the positions: on the = 'ar an', at the = 'ag an' and in = 'sa'

We made puffer fish that can be found in the ocean, We used spaghetti to depict their spikes and cupcake cases for their fins
PE 🏃♀️
In P.E., we played outdoor games in the sun
Grow in Love ✝️
We began looking at what we can find inside the Church and looked at a baby being baptised
