➕6️Maths
This week we began looking at comparing and ordering numbers. We have been lining up and looking at who comes first, second, third and fourth in our lines. We have also began looking at measuring. We have been comparing objects, looking at what is taller, shorter, wider, narrower and longer. We built towers to show these different sizes.
💚Irish
We have continued to look at 'An Scoil'. The children have been learning more phrases and learning more school commands as Gaeilge 😁 We can now take out our pencils, books, lunch boxes, copies, rulers and rubbers all through Irish.
📖English
This week the children have been looking how the letter 'Y' at the end of a word makes the 'ee' sound. We have learned two new tricky words 'you' and 'your' and we have been spelling short 3 letter words by ourselevs.
🌍SESE
Senior infants have been looking at the how light causes a shadow to form. We have been learning to use the correct positional language when finding obejcts in the classroom, and we have been playing lots of fun games in PE.
We looked at how we can show kindness to our friends both in the classroom and outside on the yard. We looked at a very kind lady Mother Teresa to inspire us to be kind to one another at school!
