Week of 13th April
Our April Theme is Fruit and Vegetables! ππ₯π
We have had a busy week exploring fruit and vegetables. The children have been learning through play, senses, and lots of smiles π We touched, smelled, and tasted lots of different fruits. Squishy bananas π, juicy oranges π, crunchy apples π, and sweet grapes π Some were new favourites, some were “not for me yet” and that’s okay π
π Maths with Fruit
We used real fruit to count and add β We made pictograms with pictures of fruit to see which ones we liked most. Lots of great choosing, sorting, and sticking!
π Stories & Songs We read fun books with fruit and vegetables like The Very Hungry Caterpillar is always a great hit in our classroom ππ
We had fun with crayons and paint π¨ making marks and writing our letters. Some of us traced fruit shapes, some wrote the first letter of our favourite fruit. We learnt the names of new fruits and vegetables ππ₯¦ Using our senses: look, touch, smell, taste πππ Taking turns and sharing during snack time π€ It’s okay to try, and it’s okay to say “no thank you” as exploring food can be tricky.
