Week of 20th April
27th Apr 2026
Congratulations to all the pupils involved in Confirmation, it was a wonderful ceremony and everyone involved had a memorable day.
Here is an insight into the topics we are working on this week,
Gaeilge: Caitheamh Aimsire (Hobbies): We have explored different types of hobbies and had conversations about the pastimes we all have. We have been using Book Creator to make short books on different types of pastimes.
Maths: Division and Decimals is our topic this week. We have been working hard on different strategies we can use to solve problems involving decimals and division. We also did a recap on place value in decimals. Please encourage your child to continue practicing for homework as some are finding this topic challenging.
English: We have been working in groups to produce pieces of Narrative writing. There is some very creative work including short stories and scripts being written. We examined the language used in Narrative, the layout and elements we must include.
SESE: Food around the world is our focus this week and we have explored food production and the processes various foods go through to produce teh food in our shops. The pupils have begun projects on the food in a country of their choice.
Art: We celebrated Earth Day this week and produced wonderful art celebrating our planet and the diversity of our world.
